Bonism

 

The people of Bongo, a remote village under Chhukha dzongkhag, Bhutan are follow bonism this years too, their crops will be bountiful, natural calamities will be less and there will be no sickness in their village.

The Bongo Lhakhang houses the two local female deities

The villagers as usual, involve their  (local deities) and believe that their year round hard work would not go to waste.

A five-hour walk from the nearest road head in Meritsemo, lies the village of Bongo where 'Bonism and Shamanism' which involves animal sacrifice is still very much a part of daily life and are an integral part of the Bongop (people of Bongo) culture.

Every year, the 52-households of Bongo come together twice a year and conduct the  ritual for good heath.

PYRAMID OF GIZA

  The   Great Pyramid of Giza   is the largest  Egyptian   pyramid   . Built in the 26th century BC during a time  around 27 years,   it is the oldest of the seven wonders of the world in ancient time , and the only one to remain largely intact. As part of the  Giza Pyramid , it borders present-day  Giza   in  Greater Cairo ,  Egypt . Its height is about 146.6 meters or 481 feet, the Great Pyramid of Giza was the tallest man-made structure in the world for more than 3,800 years ago. Since, most of the limestone extraction was removed, which lowered the pyramid's height to the present 138.5 meters or 454.4 feet. What is seen today is the underlying core structure. The base was measured to be about 230.3 meters or 755.6 feet square, giving a volume of  2.6 million cubic meters or 92 million cubic feet.
